Vintage photo of the week: Shrouded warriors
This week, I started following the pin board of a Pinterest user that has one of the most extensive collections of Native American photos. As a result, I've see a lot this week, but this one picture stood out amongst the normal photos of chieftains, warriors or mothers in traditional garb. These are men from the Kiowa tribe in 1898. It's the shrouds and eyes peeking out that really make the picture. I wonder why they are shrouded? This photo can be found HERE.
