Cléo de Mérode

Cléo de Mérode (27 September 1875 - 17 October 1966) was a French ballet dancer of the Belle Époque. She was very close to what we consider a celebrity today for her time period. She was considered extremely beautiful and fashionable. Famous artists used her as a muse for their work and she became so popular that her image could be found on post cards and playing cards. You can read more about her HERE.
