Old photo of the week: Defying death with a horse

This is a photo of a horse diving exhibit. If you've never heard of horse diving, you can read more about it HERE. It was a popular fair/circus sideshow act from the late 1800s-1930s. A rider would defy death and extreme odds by riding a fully galloping horse off a pier into a small pool of water below. This photo was found on Pinterest.
