Project: Silk Flapper Inspired Blouses

I have finished my first spring project. I had purchased silk saris for another project and had quite a bit of colorful silk left over. So, I decided to combine them with a few antique collars and modern day appliques that I had sitting around to turn them into flapper inspired blouses. The loose, boxy and simple style of real flapper blouses are easy to copy and improvise. Now, I'm really looking forward to wearing the brightly colored flowing silk on the warm days ahead. If you have sewing skills and would like your own flapper blouse I've found two original 1920s patterns below. Enjoy!
