Occupations for women in 1889

While cruising through the Metropolitan Museam of Art's digital archives, HERE, I found a series of images called "Occupations for Women." In 1889, A tobacco company printed a set of 50 collectable trading cards of women in various occupations to promote their product. Most of the jobs depicted are very adventurous and forward thinking for women for the time! I've post a few of my favorite cards below. Enjoy and make sure to check out the whole collection!
