Before and After: A 1940s dress into a skirt

Sometimes I come across vintage pieces that simply can't be repaired and end up being salvaged for other projects. This 1940s maxi dress is one of those. I loved the floral printed red fabric, but the bodice and top skirt tier had many, many holes, including a softball sized one in the waist. Thank fully the bottom two tiers were undamaged. So, I cut the top off and with a little elastic, made a circle skirt! Have a great weekend every one!
