Project: A 1940s blouse two different ways

This week I made two very different summery blouses using a 1940s pattern. The difference between the two was the fabric used and boy, did it make a difference. Both blouses have a completely different look! I did the first blouse in a 1950s mid century modern print cotton and the second in a recycled sheer cotton lace curtain panel. The first one is sharp and crisp, and looks great tucked into a pencil skirt. The lace shirt is much more boho and casual and works well layered over a cami with jeans. I'm even thinking about making more, since it's such a versatile pattern and flattering shirt on me. If you would like to make your own, there are some similar patterns HERE, HERE and HERE. Happy Weekend!
