So, I have know about Taxco jewelry for awhile, but I recently rediscovered it with great enthusiasm. If you are unfamiliar with Taxco jewelry, it is from the Mexican town of Taxco, which has a silver mine and a history of artisan silversmithing that goes back to the 1920s. Taxco jewelry is simply silver jewelry that has been produced by one of the artisans in that town. It is still produced today, but my favorite pieces are from the 1930s-1950s. Styles vary depend on date and artist, but all are beautiful. Enjoy!
